Brisbane Powerhouse

Come and learn the art of live performance with ARIA award winning group, The Idea of North.

Hear some of the group’s stories of life on the road and what they've learnt along the way to become a world-class act. They will share techniques in harmony singing, stagecraft and teach you a brand new song.

If you have tickets to their evening performance at the Brisbane Powerhouse you will be invited to perform the song with The Idea of North, live on stage that night! This will be a special feature during their ‘Limelight’ concert. So why not come and share the limelight with Australia's most loved a cappella quartet, The Idea of North.

Special packages are available for those who wish to attend both the afternoon workshop and the evening 'Limelight' concert, and group discounts are available, so gather your friends and come to one or both!

This workshop will give you hands on experience by working closely with this dynamic group. Places are limited so get in quick to avoid disappoint.

Brisbane Powerhouse

We return to the Brisbane Powerhouse for the first time this year to perform "Limelight".

Sample a selection of our brand new a cappella arrangements including new selections from some of our favourite artists and a smattering of songs from our much-loved repertoire.

We will also be holding our Stagecraft workshop that afternoon. Package deals available.

Barker College

Hummingsong Community Choirs presents an evening of "Songs From The North" with Australia's Aria Award winning a cappella group "The Idea Of North". You can expect a feast of a cappella music in this spectacular concert. The Idea of North will combine with over 100 women on stage for a selection of songs with a few surprises then sit back and be entertained by this world class act that will have you buzzing all evening. Proceeds from this concert will go towards Delvina Women and Children's Shelter Lane Cove.

Norwood Concert Hall

To celebrate 20 magnificent years together, Australia’s leading a cappella group, The Idea of North are touring the country and sharing the enjoyment with thousands of music lovers from coast to coast. Norwood Concert Hall will host the event in Adelaide on Sunday 11th August. You’ll hear some re-worked versions of popular TION tunes from the past 20 years and great new repertoire too. It'll be a night of reminiscing, the usual TION-style hilarity and beautiful music with a brand new album to honour the event!

There are plenty of places to get your tickets through BASS.

Lizotte's Restaurant (Newcastle)

The Idea of North present a celebratory Australian concert tour in recognition of their 20 years together. Lizotte's will play host to the event in Newcastle on Friday 23rd August. Come along to hear some re-worked versions of TION repertoire from the past 20 years and some great new tunes too. It'll be a night of beautiful music and a touch of nostalgia with a brand new album to honour the event!

Sutherland Entertainment Centre

The Endeavour Harmony Chorus are presenting a wonderful concert of their skilled vocal harmonies, lively stage antics and overall feel-good music in Sydney's south, with The Idea of North as special guests for the afternoon. The chorus is heading to Hawaii later this year to represent Australia on the international stage - a wonderful opportunity and ambassadorship for Australian a cappella singing. Come along and help them take their performance to the world!
